I am Madina Tanekeyeva (B.Ec, E-RYT, RPYT, Dip CBed) - senior yoga teacher with 18+ years of teaching experience based in Sydney.

I was born in Kazakhstan, matured in The Netherlands and now reside in Australia with my family of four. I am a creator of Emotional Release Yoga (ERY), a Yoga Teacher Mentor, and a Sound Bath Therapist.

Like many of us, from an early age, I felt utterly disconnected, misunderstood and not appreciated. But I was always eager to heal my pain, grow spiritually and evolve as a human being.

Since my early twenties, I dedicated most of my free time and resources to seeking and deepening Buddhist and Yogic knowledge.

I set on a path of self-discovery and travelled the world to study with many remarkable teachers. Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, a renowned Tibetan Buddhist master, shaped my meditation practice. My yoga practice started with Astanga yoga and over the years has morphed into something very personal and profound. I call it Emotional Release Yoga. This practice combines the best of yin & restorative yoga, mindfulness, breathwork, and cognitive work.

My latest passions is offering Sound Bath therapy sessions at various events, be it corporate wellness events, art gallery openings, or private gatherings.

What I teach is deeply experiential, healing and transformative.

Thanks to ERY, I finally can hear and understand myself.

I feel safe in my body.
