Review by Mike McKevitt:
”My wife and I attended Madina’s second retreat in 2019 because we had such a good time at the first one. An added bonus, and nice surprise, was that a friend we made on the first retreat was also on this retreat. As usual, everyone was friendly and open right from the start, which is a special aspect of Madina’s retreats - we are all like-minded people without judgment or too much ego.Madina’s retreats are so successful and enjoyable because she is a person who “lives to give”, this makes her not only a great retreat guide but someone who really brings people together during a retreat. It became clear that Madina really “walks the Ashtanga yoga walk” (the 8 limbs of yoga) when she showed the courage to share a very personal realisation which came to her while on retreat.
The venue was terrific and really added to the sense of serenity and ease that you want to feel on a retreat. The food was delicious and never in short supply, provided by very generous hosts (Andrew, Jeff, Aston, and Diesel).”

Madina Tanekeyeva
Madina’s teaching is deeply rooted in the practice of Astanga yoga, Buddhist teachings, her passion for yoga anatomy and emotional release. She has been teaching yoga since 2006 in The Netherlands, London, Kazakhstan (her home country), India and Australia. She believes that in order to approach advanced yoga poses we need to have a solid knowledge and understanding of asana alignment and technique, be skillful in using breath and awareness in practice. Through her personal journey, Madina experienced first hand how emotional release in yoga helped her open her body, heal pain and get closer to knowing the true self.
