Almost in every class, I challenge my students to go down from standing to sit down on the floor without using their hands or knees. This simple transition requires muscle tone, hip mobility, and balance.
Ever since I discovered that this simple skill reflects on how long we are going to live, I started integrating elements of it into my classes. There are a few transitions and exercises that I teach in almost every class to help my students live longer.
I know that not all my students love them, most just laugh at themselves, some can do them effortlessly. But one thing is for sure - the more we work together, the more of you can do them and it makes me very happy.
May you live happy and healthy lives.
And may you appreciate my funky transitions and weird exercises more after watching this short but concise video!
