Practice:
Today is a self-care day for essential oils and Guasha facial massage.
The oils that I am using in the video are frankincense and lavender. And I use the carrier oil of fractionated coconut, which can be replaced by any oil you have got at home (olive oil, for example). If you don’t have essential oils, you can omit them.
Guasha can be replaced by a metal table spoon. You can purchase Guasha on Ebay or from my friend Carol.
Reflection: self-care
What’s self-care for you? On physical, emotional, and mental levels. Write down at least 5 items for each level.
I will share mine with you:
Physical:
- Once a week relaxing bath with essential oils, body scrubbing, and a face mask
- Once a month massage, every 2-3 weeks - chiropractic
- Yoga practice, walks, strength training
- Self-massage with therapy balls whenever I feel tension creeping in
- Creating my own face serums, tonics, and body oilsEmotional:
- Regular catch-ups with friends who I can share with and be my goofy self
- Emotional Release Yoga practice
- Seeing my chiropractor for a NET session (neuro-emotional technique)
- Hugging a lot
- Writing (mostly for my IG)Mental:
- Meditation (any time I am by myself and can be quiet).
- Practising presence whenever I remember
- Practising gratitude and explicitly giving thanks to those who positively contribute to my life
- Reading books, studying
- Using essential oils to calm down
